Hi folks! We had a great day today at the baby market at the Ashe Hotel in Tralee. It was my first market since reopening, the last one I was at was about a year ago so I was pretty excited to get back there again.
After a lot of prepping and late night sewing sessions I had everything made for the market, bandana bibs, taggie comforters, crayon rolls, teethers the works.
We arrived at the baby market nice and early to make sure everything was set up and ready for when everyone came flying through the door at 12.
Normally I do a trial run of my table layout before I go to the market but as I have recently sold my dining table I just had to wing it and came up with this stall design on the day:
At about 11.30 the que started to grow, you’ve got to be early to get the good stuff! By 12 it was out to the front door of the hotel. The doors opened and the people flooded in like a wave, I love the excitement and the hustle and bustle of everyone looking for goodies for their little ones or preparing for the babies who are soon to arrive.
I had a great spot at the market so I had plenty of people popping by the stall. I always encourage my customers to pick everything up and have a good feel so there was alot of that going on.
After awhile a photographer came around from the local paper and took some pictures of us, so I will keep my eyes open for those in the near future.
I sold out of bandana bibs, full bibs and teethers within an hour so now I know what you guys need me to make more of for the next market.
All in all I had a fantastic day, got to meet alot of lovely people, and I look forward to the next market on the 8th of May, I hope to see you there 😊
