Wooden teethers are all the rage right now mainly because they are amazing and babies love chewing them. I decided to try one out on my little man who is teething right now and he loved it!
What are they?
Our teether rings are made from Organic hardwood ash from Bulgaria. Normally the wooden rings are treated with an oil such as, olive oil, beeswax or coconut oil. I prefer to use organic coconut oil on my teethers as it is antibacterial and antifungal. Wood is naturally antibacterial but the coconut oil also makes the wood water resistant which is a must if you have a little one that’s teething.
Caring for your teether:
Keeping you baby’s teether clean is really easy.
- Remove the fabric from the ring and pop in the washing machine
- Wash on 40°
- Wash the wooden ring in hot soapy water and allow to dry
- Treat the wood with coconut or olive oil once dry
Remove the fabric part by cutting through the 3 small stitches at the back:
Wash the fabric and wooden ring and reassemble like this:
Sew a couple of small stitches at the back if desired to stop the fabric coming off the ring.
Once reassembled give it back to your baby to chomp away on to their little hearts content.
Happy teething little ones!
